Jack Ma, Alibaba send 3 lakh masks

Some 300,000 masks from the Chinese Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation have reached Dhaka on Sunday. Yan Hualong, Deputy Chief of Mission at Chinese Embassy in Dhaka, received the delivery at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to hand over to the Bangladesh government officials.

Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation earlier on Friday sent 30,000 coronavirus testing kits following their announcement to help some Asian countries to halt the virus.
Ma promised to donate emergency supplies, including masks, test kits, protective suits, plus ventilators and thermometers.

The Chinese government also sent earlier on Thursday medical logistics, including 10,000 testing kits, 10,000 Personal Protective Equipment sets and 1,000 infrared thermometers.

The virus first emerged from the China’s Wuhan city. Later it spread to all countries. China brought the situation under control.
Bangladesh confirmed 48 patients with coronavirus. Of them, five died and 15 returned home after complete recovery.

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming earlier said that Bangladesh, with the support from China and other countries, will be able to win the battle against COVID-19.
“Be confident, Bangladesh. You will win,” the Ambassador said, “If China can win, Bangladesh can also win this battle.”
