The Islamic University unit President of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) M Shahinur Rahman Shahin filed a general diary with Sailkupa Thana police station against an employee of the university on Sunday.
M Bazlur Rahman, officer in charge (OC) of Sailkupa Thana police station, said that they received the GD over searching him with local weapons at the university buses near Sheikhpara Bazar under Jhenaidah district in the morning.
The BCL leader filed the GD against Illius Jodder and unidentified persons. The GD number is 1270.
Earlier, a group of miscreants searched IU BCL unit president Shahinur Rahman to beat him at university buses in the morning led by Illius Jodder, a staff of ICT cell of the university.
IU BCL brought out a procession on the campus protesting the incident. Later, they informed the matter to university vice chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari at his office while pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman present here.
Dr Askari assured the BCL men that university authority will take action against the suspected staff after finding involvement with this issue while the wing give only 24hours ultimatum to the authority to met the demand.
