IU BCL holds campaign against ragging, sexual harassment

The Islamic University in Kushtia, unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League, student wing of the ruling Awami League, held a procession, campaign and distribution of leaflets against ragging, and sexual harassment on Tuesday at noon on the campus.

The procession started at the BCL unit tent and ended at the premises of the university Bot Tola after parading the main roads on the campus. They held a campaign while BCL unit president Faysal Siddiki Arafat and secretary Nasim Ahmed Joy delivered their speech against ragging and harassment of the students on the campus.

IU unit vice-president Tonmoy Shaha Tony, Ariful Islam Khan, Boni Amin, Mamunur Rashid and Rokibul Islam, organizing secretary Hossain Mojumdar, Shohag Sheikh and more than three hundred BCL leaders and activists of the different hall were present at the procession and campaign.  

After procession and campaign they distribute the anti-ragging and sexual harassment leaflets to the students on the campus.

Ragging, sexual harassment and likely inhuman activities are not supported by student’s league. We should be substantiated by our activities that the students league remains with the praiseworthy things, told unit president Faysal Siddiki Arafat.
