More Bangladeshi foreign friends, including Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and development partners greeted Sheikh Hasina for her re-election as Prime Minister.
They pledged to work together with the government of Bangladesh and its people to strengthen their ties with the country.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Monday congratulated Sheikh Hasina on her re-election as Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
In a congratulatory letter, she said: “On the occasion of your new inauguration as Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, I would like to send you, on behalf of the Italian government, my congratulations on your prestigious assignment.”
Referring to the long tradition of friendship between the two countries, the Italian premier said: “I will be glad to continue our constructive bilateral collaboration in areas such as textiles, immigration, security and energy transition, and to work together to help strengthen peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific.”
“Wishing you every success in fulfilling your mandate, I send you my warmest regards,” she wrote in the concluding line of the letter.
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has congratulated Sheikh Hasina for her reelection as Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
In a letter of greetings, Abdelmadjid Tebboune said, "I am pleased to convey to you, on behalf of the Algerian people and government, and that of my own, my heartfelt congratulations to you for your re-election as Prime Minister of Bangladesh.”
“Wishing you success in carrying out the duties of your new mandate,” he added.
He said, “I would like to express on this occasion my constant readiness to continue working towards consolidating our ties of friendship and solidarity, as well as raising the level of our relations and enhancing bilateral cooperation, so as to serve both countries' interests.”
The Algerian president renewed his invitation to Sheikh Hasina to make an official visit to Algeria.
“Please accept, Madame Prime Minister, the assurances of my highest consideration and esteem,” he ended.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi congratulated Sheikh Hasina on her reelection as Prime Minister and wish to enhance the existing bilateral relations further for mutual benefits.
In a letter sent to Bangladesh premier, Sisi said, “I extend my warmest congratulations to Your Excellency on winning the general elections that took place recently in your country, securing a new term as Prime Minister of Bangladesh.”
The Egypt president continued that your re-election to this high office reflects the confidence and trust your people have in your able leadership to achieve further progress for your country.
“Seizing this good opportunity, it is my pleasure to acknowledge that Egypt and Bangladesh share a long history of friendship and cooperation, and I am confident that the bilateral relations between our two countries will continue to grow over the coming years for the mutual benefit of our peoples,” Sisi said.
“Please accept my sincerest wishes for the best of your well-being and continued success and for the welfare and prosperity of the friendly people of Bangladesh,” he added.
Visiting Scottish Member of Parliament, Foysol Choudhury on Monday thanked all involved with the election process for holding the 12th parliamentary elections in a free, fair and peaceful manner.
He expressed his appreciation while calling on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office.
PM’s Deputy Press Secretary Md. Noor Elahi Mina briefed the reporters after the call on.
He said the Scottish Member of Parliament congratulated Sheikh Hasina for reelection as the Prime Minister on behalf of the Cross Party Group of the Scottish Parliament.
The deputy press secretary said the Scottish parliament’s Cross Party Group wanted to continue their mutual bilateral development activities with Bangladesh Parliament.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina thanked the Scottish MP and his government for their greetings to her.
Ambassador at Large M Ziauddin and Principal Secretary M Tofazzel Hossain Miah were present on the occasion.
Besides, two members of parliament of the House of Commons, London, Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CEIC) and Labour Party Friends of Bangladesh in the UK have congratulated Sheikh Hasina on her reelection as the Prime Minister for a record fifth term and fourth in a row.
In separate messages to Sheikh Hasina, they highly praised the prudent leadership of Sheikh Hasina and expressed their desire to work with her for mutual and international benefits.
