Indo-Bangla cycle rally enters Bangladesh

A seven-member team of Indo-Bangladesh International Cycle Rally of India arrived at Chuadanga district town riding on  bicycles on February 16 on the eve of Ekusey February and International Mother Language Day. 

According to sources, the members of team are Saybal Banarji, Orpit Das, Alamgir Mollik, Nitya Hori Majhi, Subrata Satra, Sonaton Patra and Mohua Banarji. Mohua Banarji is the first woman bicyclist traveller of India on the occasion. 

Saybal Banarji, team leader said they started their journey on February 14 from Chandannagar in Hugli district of India on bicycles and entered in Bangladesh through Joynagar border in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district. 

Mr. Banarji, team leader told this correspondent that they will take part at the function of Central Shahid Minar in Dhaka on 21 February and return to India on bicycles on February 22.
