ICAB signs MoU with NSU to promote CA profession

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) and the North South University (NSU) was signed on Thursday  at Syndicate Hall, NSU.

Under this arrangement both the Institutes will cooperate with each other to foster chartered accountancy profession, accounting and finance education, training, workshop, knowledge sharing on accounting, financial matters, trade & commerce, business, economy through which  students, teachers, professionals, other stakeholders can be benefited. 

ICAB President Mahmudul Hasan Khusru FCA and Professor Atiqul Islam, Vice Chancellor of NSU signed the MoU from their respective sides. ICAB Vice President Md. Abdul Kader Joaddar FCA, CEO Shubhashish Bose, Professor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Dean, School of Business among others were present in the programme. 

Under this MoU ICAB will award exemptions on certain papers of chartered accountancy studies to the brilliant graduates or post-graduates of the university so that they can get fast track to acquire CA professional qualification and vice-versa opening of the degree and/or other research/ higher education for ICAB partly qualified/ qualified members.
