HSTU registrar protests fake news

 A vested group of people has been defaming the university’s reputation for long by spreading fake news over the recruitment of the teachers and officials.

Registrar of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) Professor Dr Md Fazlul Huq came up with the allegation at a press briefing at the VIP conference room of administrative building at 11am on Saturday, without revealing the names.

At the briefing, he elaborately described the recruitment process of a teacher named Mohiuddin Noor.

He said that the involvement of Mohiuddin Noor in Jamaat-Shibir politics was not found. Police placed clean report against him.

He also said as there is no FF quota for first and second class jobs, the children of freedom fighters (FF) cannot be recruited in this university.

He also said the number of posts might differ for academic and administrative requirements though it was published in the media. Thanking the journalists he urged the media not to publish fake news and fade the reputation of HSTU.

It was attended by among others, Prof Dr Bidhan Chandra Haldar, Treasurer of the university, Prof Dr Shripati Sikder, Director of Public Relations, Prof Dr Shahadat Hossen Khan, Director of Finance, Prof Dr Tariqul Islam, Director of IRT, Prof Dr Md Khalid Hosen, Proctor, Mohammad Rajib Hasan, Director of Student Affairs and Advisory Divisio, prof Dr Abdu gaffar Mia, chairman of Genetics and Animal Breeding.
