Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed deep shock at the death of senior journalist and Prime Minister’s former deputy press secretary Faruq Quazi, reports BSS.
In a condolence message, he said: “We lost a skilled, experienced and brave journalist at the death of Faruq Quazi.”
Hasan, also the Awami League joint general secretary, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Faruk Quazi, a veteran journalist and PM’s former deputy press secretary, passed away at his residence in the city today (Friday). He was 71.
He was former President of Law Reporters’ Forum (LRF) and former Press Minister of Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi.
