GUB workshop on real estate sales

Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) organised a day long workshop titled 'Real Estate Sales and Marketing', on Friday, at the university premises keeping in view the future development of this sector.

More than three hundred sales executives from different companies participated in the workshop. GUB Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Golam Samadani Fakir presided over the event where IUBAT VC Professor Dr Abdur Rob spoke as the chief guest.

Speakers at the inaugural ceremony said that as the demand for housing sector in the capital is increasing, the number of real estate companies is increasing. They said that because of the negative impact of urbanization people are turning to nearby housing projects in many cases. Apart from the upper classes, the lower classes are also buying plot-flats.

IUBAT VC said everyone wants a place for their own and it is very much needed. And this is why the housing sector is moving forward in time. Not only that, a large part of the income in the economy is coming from real estate. He urged the estate companies to invest in cities as well as in villages.

Professor Golam Samadani said that housing project is important for the growing number of people. But in this case, people of all walks of life have to be considered. Housing projects should not be built just for the elite.

GUB Dean of the Faculty of Business Professor Ghulam Ahmed Farooqi, Assistant Professor Mahmood Wahid spoke on various aspects of real estate sales strategy and online marketing.

Certificates were distributed among the participants at the end of the workshop. Apart from this, Dhaka-Singapore, Dhaka-Kuala Lumpur and Dhaka-Bangkok tickets were awarded at a raffle draw hosted by US-Bangla Airlines.
