Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder has said that the present government is working to improve the living standards of small ethnic groups in different parts of the country.

The minister made the remarks while addressing a function to mark the golden jubilee of Caritas and Sidhu Kanu Day at Saraigachhi ground in Porsha upazila of Naogaon on Saturday noon.

The food minister said the government is committed to protecting the heritage of every ethnic group in the country. He also said that various initiatives have been taken by the Prime Minister's Office to improve their living standards.

Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder said that there are many organizations who gather people in various processions, meetings and gatherings with ethnic groups and make money by sending these videos abroad. They benefit themselves but the condition of the ethnic group does not change. At the same time, the Minister called upon all to work together for the effective solution of the problems of the small ethnic groups.
