Govt to increase assistance for ceramic products export: Tipu

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi today said the government will provide necessary cooperation and increase facilities for the exporters to boost the export of ceramic products, reports BSS.

“The country’s ceramic product has become popular among people across the world. The demand of ceramic products is increasing day by day,” he said while inaugurating the three-day ‘Ceramic Expo-2019′ at the International Convention City, Bashundhara (ICCB) in the city, said a press release. Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers’ and Exporters’ Association organised the event.

Tipu Munshi said Bangladesh has all the facility including environment- friendly factories, gas, electricity and skilled manpower for producing ceramic products. “Bangladesh has the capability to sustain in the competitive global ceramic market,” he added.

He said the government will take necessary steps to solve all problems in the ceramic sector.

President of Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers’ and Exporters’ Association Md Sirajul Islam Mollah presided over the meeting while President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers and Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Sheikh Fazle Fahim, among others, was present.

 Speakers opined that this years expo is being held  with the promise of maintaining international standards, advanced technology and to encourage new investment opportunities.

 They said that the expo, we will be able to capture the attention of the local and international market as well through the demonstration of our innovative products. It will be a new experience for those who will visit the expo. 

 The expo will highlight the progress, development, incremental growth of the ceramic industry of the country and the development of skilled manpower. 

 Thousands of representatives around the world in the tiles industry are attending the event. 

The Expo is expected to strengthen its interest in ceramic products and will encourage new investment opportunities in investment-friendly Bangladesh.
