BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed has said by opening the shopping malls amid Coronavirus situation, the government was playing with the lives of the people.

Rizvi was talking with the activists of Schecchasebak Dal in Rajshahi during the distribution of relief. He further said, shopping malls and other institutions have been ordered to be open by maintaining social distance.

He said, the Coronavirus situation would turn  further worse by infecting more people and thus harbouring more death. Specially, opening of shops and institutions at a time while the disease is spreading virulently, is unwise and worrying.

He said, Health Minister has said how everything will be managed without opening the shopping malls. The government seems not caring for human lives.

“A horrendous situation is prevailing throughout the country. Relief goods purchased through public money are being plundered by UP Chairmen, members and are being stored at the house of Awami League leaders which is unlikely,” said Rizvi.

He mentioned, BNP has been supplying relief to some 12 lakh families and BNP leaders and workers were working in villages and in towns.
