Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s financial aid cheques were distributed among journalists in Gopalganj during the Corona situation on Thursday noon.
Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Haque Shamim MP was present as the chief guest at the distribution ceremony held at Gopalganj Press Club.
A total of 35 journalists in the district were distributed cheques worth of Tk 10,000 each at the time.
Gopalganj Additional Deputy Commissioner Kazi Shahidul Islam presided over the distribution ceremony while Zila Parishad Chair and District AL unit President Freedom Fighter Chowdhury Emdadul Haque, Additional Superintendent of Police Abdullah Al-Masud, District AL unit General Secretary Mahbub Ali Khan and others were present as special guests.
Earlier, the Deputy Minister paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara at 11 am.
