Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Shahab Uddin said that the employees of the forest department should work diligently to preserve the forests and woodlands of the country. This should be done not only as employment, but to work for the welfare of the country with patriotism. The restoration of illegal forest land and the development of forests will be done by involving all classes of people with the initiative of the government.
The Environment Minister said these things in a meeting with Forest Department officials at the VIP room of Chattagram Shah Amanat International Airport on Wednesday. The Forest Minister said that Bangladesh is a signatory to various international conventions on forest conservation. So we have to work responsibly to protect the country's forests. Do not give in to any fear. Any activities against the law should be strictly suppressed.
Chief Conservator of Forest Amir Hossain Chowdhury, Chittagong Region Forest Conservator Bipul Krishna Das, Forest Academy Director Molla Rezaul Karim, Chittagong North Forest Division Divisional Forest Officer Mozammel Haque Shah Chowdhury, Chittagong District Administration Executive Magistrate Shahid Ishraq along with Chittagong Region Forest Department and the officials of the Department of Environment were present.
