‘New Face Mask’ and ‘Art Medical Service’, two American companies that have been regularly providing food to helpless people during this difficult time of corona pandemic.
As part of the Covid-19 emergency response on Sunday, the two companies distributed food items among 200 families and 50 children at the Alhaj Mohammad Ali Dakhil Madrasa grounds in Kendua Dakshin Para under Kendua Union in Jamalpur Sadar Upazila.
Kendua UP Chairman Sheikh Mahbubur Rahman Monju, General Secretary of Jamalpur Sadar Awami Juba League unit Saiful Islam Khan Sohel and President of Alhaj Mohammad Ali Dakhil Madrasa Abul Mansur were present at the occasion.
Earlier, the companies also provided food items to 45 families on May 24 and 100 families on June
6. Each family received 5 kg of rice, 2 kg of potatoes, 1 kg of pulses and 1 kg of onions. Suji, biscuits ,milk and sugar were provided for children.
Hafizur Rahman, a resident of the union, is a staff member of Next Face Mask Company's Bangladesh branch. He conducts all kinds of ancillary activities for the distribution of food items.
While distributing food items, Hafizur Rahman said, "We have been distributing relief items to address the crisis. Later we inform the company about our relief distribution activities. Our company continues to help us in this."
"We will continue our activities in this way and I urge all concerned individuals to come forward to help the poor and needy," he added.
