Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Sunday called upon the students to follow the ideology of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to build an economically developed country, reports BSS.
The speaker made the remark while inaugurating the mural of Bangabandhu at Pirganj Sheikh Hasina Adarsha Girls’ High School through a video conference.
Chairman of Dinajpur Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Md Abu Bakar Siddique and District Education Officer of Rangpur Mosha Roxana Begum spoke as special guests at the inaugural function with Pirganj Sheikh Hasina Adarsh Girls’ High School principal ASM Rafiqul Islam in the chair.
Later, the speaker distributed 274 bundles of corrugated iron sheets, 422 tube-wells, 5,000 saplings and cheques of Taka 8.22-lakh among 270 flood affected families.
