Five years SARRAC Visa sticker for MPs recommended

The Parliamentary Standing Committee has recommended extending the visa sticker, especially for Parliament members of eight SARRAC countries, from one year to five years. The SARRAC Countries are: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan and Afghanistan. The recommendation was placed before the meeting of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Administration Ministry at Jatiya Sangsad on Wednesday with the committee President H N Ashiqur Rahman in the chair.

In the meeting, the ministry informed the committee about the progress of the development projects which are being implemented and the training of the government employee in home and abroad for their skill development. The land management digitalization was also discussed in the meeting while the Land Ministry was asked to properly complete the land map and land survey after more scrutinizing.

The recommendation of merging BCS (admin) cadre and BCS (economy) cadre within short possible time, was also focused. Among others, committee member and State Minister for Public Administration FArhad Hossain, Abul Hasan Mahmud Dhali, ASM Firoj, Hafiz Ahmed Majumdar, RAM Obaidul Moktadir Chowdhury, Panir Uddin Ahmed and Begum Ferdousi Islam, were also present.
