First Bangladeshi death in Germany by Corona recorded

An expatriate Bangladeshi living in Germany has died after being infected with coronavirus (Covid-19). Shahin Sikder and his family lived in Hanoi, a suburb of Frankfurt, Germany. This is the first time a Bangladeshi has died of coronavirus infection in Germany.

He died at the hospital on Wednesday (September 23rd) at 3.10pm local time in Germany. He was about 48 years old at the time of his death.

It is learned that Shahin Sikder, his wife and two daughters’ were identified with corona a few days ago. Although all but Shahin were healthy, Shahin was admitted to a local hospital when his condition deteriorated. He died while undergoing treatment there.

Shahin Sikder’s home is in Bikrampur, Bangladesh. He went to Germany in 1992.
