fire broke out at a small goat farm in Dhankunia village under Nimaichara union of Chatmohor in Pabna in the wee hour of Saturday. Several goats were burned to
death in the fire incident. No person was injured or killed in the
incident.
Locals of the area said that a farmer family in the area was keeping their goats in a room. On Saturday late night, a night guard in the area first saw the fire and informed others.
Locals then tried to extinguish the fire and tamed the fire before dawn. Six goats were burned to death, owners of the goat firm stated. The estimated price of those goats was around 1 lakh taka, they added.
Nimaichhara UP chairman Kamruzzaman Khokon confirmed the incident by adding that the fire was most likely caused by a mosquito repellent coil.
