Many farmers of Chuadanga district have been cultivating ‘White Stone Variety Cauliflower’ at their crop fields this season. It was known that the farmers are getting profit from this cultivation.
Against this backdrop, a Field Day on ‘white stone variety cauliflower’ was held at village Ukto at Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga on Thursday (December 31). AR Malik Seeds Private Limited arranged the day event.
On the occasion, a discussion was arranged with a farmer Abu Bokar Malita of the village. It was addressed, among others, by farmer Faroj Ali, upazila assistant agriculture officer of Damurhuda Saiful Islam, Area Manager of AR Malik Seeds Private Limited Adbul Halim, Dabir Uddin and Mohsin Reja.
Farmer Faroj Ali said that he has been cultivating the crop on 14 kathas of land at the village and expanded Tk 17,000 up to date. In the meantime he has got tk. 52,000 after selling the crop. Rest of the cauli flower will be sold at the same amount.
Some other farmers also said that they are getting benefit through cultivation white stone variety cauliflower in their fields.
