A farmer died after being electrocuted while repairing his shallow machine on a crop field in Shaker Bazar area under Lalmonirhat Sadar upazila on Friday, reports BSS. The deceased was identified as Tara Mia, 36, hailed from the area.
Police said Tara Mia came to contact with a live electric wire as he was trying to run the shallow machine around 8 am, leaving him dead on the spot. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lalmonirhat Thana Mahafuzur Rahman confirmed the matter and said a case was filed in this regard.
