Public Administration Ministry Deputy Secretary Abul Bashar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman has taken charge as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chattogram.
On Wednesday, he officially took over from the outgoing Deputy Commissioner Mominur Rahman.
Earlier on November 23, in a notification of the Ministry of Public Administration, BCS (Administration) cadre officers were appointed as Deputy Commissioners and District Magistrates in various districts. Newly appointed Abul Bashar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman's house is in Chandpur district. He is a former student of Chattogram University.
He served as Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration's 'Recruitment-Promotion and Posting Division'.
Outgoing Deputy Commissioner Mominur Rahman has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka. Tuesday was his last working day in Chattogram.
He joined the Chattogram district administration on January 3 last year.
