Execution of ADP in ICT reviewed

The review meeting on the implementation progress of the Annual Development Program of January for the financial year 2022-23 of the Information and Communication Technology Department was held on Tuesday. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak was present as the chief guest in the meeting.

In the meeting held under the chairmanship of Samsul Arefin, Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Department, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, Bangladesh Computer Council, Heads of various organizations under the Department of Information and Communication Technology and various project managers were present.

In the meeting, the implementation plan of the projects undertaken in the current financial year of the ICT department, the achievement of monthly physical and financial targets, the decisions taken and the issues related to recruitment of manpower were discussed in detail.

In the meeting, Aspire to Innovate (A2I) program, learning and earning development, skill development of mobile games and applications, ICT infrastructure of Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat, online education for initiation-skill development, establishment of innovation and entrepreneurship development academy, enrichment of Bengali language through research and development.

Digital Sylhet City, Secure E-mail for Government of Bangladesh, Capacity Building of BGD e-Gov CIRT, Strengthening of Video Conferencing Platform, Connected Bangladesh, CA Monitoring of CCA Office, Setting up of IT/Hi-Tech Park at District Level, Sheikh Russell Digital Lab, Info Sarkar-3 Project, Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City-II Support Infrastructure Construction Project, Information Technology Network Establishment Project in Remote Areas, Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center Establishment Project, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Hi-Tech Park Rajshahi Project, Kaliakore Hi-Tech-Park including Other Hi-Tech Park development projects, setting up of IT Business Incubator at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, Leveraging ICT for Employment and Growth of the I The financial and practical progress of all other projects including the T-IT ES Industry Project, IT Engineers Skill Development Project for Japanese IT Sector, Digital Literacy Center Establishment Project, Digital Security Agency Establishment and Necessary Infrastructure Development Project were discussed in detail. Organization heads and project managers presented their respective project implementation plans and latest progress in the meeting.

It was informed in the meeting that the implementation progress of the projects of the ICT department till January 2023 is 34.71 percent.

It should be noted that in the current financial year, 1 thousand 595 crore 78 lakh rupees have been allocated for a total of 28 projects including 2 technical ones under the ICT department.

The State Minister directed the project manager and the concerned to ensure the progress of the projects quickly while maintaining the quality according to the work plan and complete the work on time. Project managers commit to completing projects within the stipulated time.
