Ex BCL leader returns home around 4 months

Former BCL leader Jamil Hossaib Milon has returned home after three months and 23 days of his missing. Jamil Hossaib Milon was allegedly picked up by law enforcers from his house of Taltala Halfrasta village under the Natore Sadar Upazila on January 31.

Jamil Hossain said some unidentified men picked up him with tide his eyes and Wednesday night they released him by tide his eyes. They also give him Tk 2000 for transport fare. "When I asked to the people about the area people, they replied that it was Abdullahpur of Dhaka."

Jamil Hossain Milon, 30, is son of Emdadul Haque Miazi of Taltala Halfrasta under Sadar upazila in the district. Natore Sadar Police Station OC Kazi Jalal Uddin said he has informed the higher authority about Milon's return. Milon's father had filed a case about his missing. Police will take legal action about the matter, he added. Jamil was accused in seven cases which filed with the police station. Of those, one was filed under Special Powers Act, one over arms dealing and five others for extortions and fights, the OC added.

Jamil was a nomination seeker from the ruling Awami League for the chairman post in the Natore Sadar Upazila Parishad election 2019 first phase. He was known as a follower of Natore-2 lawmaker Shafiqul Islam Shimul. Locals were held protest rally demanding release of a former Jamil Hossain Milon.
