Secretary of Public Administration Shaikh Yusuf Harun said that the safety of life comes first. It is important to protect those who are fighting corona virus from the front. Medical personnel, law enforcement agencies, journalists are carrying out their duties with infinite courage in the current situ ation, he added.
He said this while distributing Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) among doctors, nurses, health workers, journalists and farmers at Khulna Circuit House on Sunday noon.
"Under no circumstances should we treat the victims of Covid-19 inhumanely, a little empathy will be very helpful in boosting their morale”, he said.
He advised to use PPE properly and as required, adding that not everyone needs to wear N-95 quality masks except physicians. Everyone needs more awareness and caution, he added.
During the distribution of PPEs Khulna Divisional Commissioner Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain Hawladar, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Helal Hossain, Superintendent of Police SM Shafiullah, Director of Khulna Medical College Hospital Dr Munshi Md. Reza Sekandar, Khulna Medical College Vice Pricipal Mehdi Newaz, Khulna Civil Surgeon Dr. Sujat Ahmed and others were present.
Later, Public Administration Secretary Shaikh Yusuf Harun handed over the PPEs to doctors, nurses, health workers, journalists, farmers' organizations and representatives of those organizations.
