A Dhaka court on Saturday placed driver of a bus that ran over two, leaving one dead in capital’s Mohakhali area on September 5, on two-day remand, reports BSS. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahinur Rahman passed the order as police produced Shamim Choiyal, 20, before the court and pleaded to place him on 10-day remand. Detective branch (DB) of police on September 27 arrested Shamim from Mohakhali Bus Stand area. According to the case documents, the bus of Cantonment Mini Service ran over two pedestrians on the footpath in Mohakhali Amtali area on September 5. Of the two, Farha Naz was declared dead as she was rushed to Kurmitola General Hospital. A case was filed on the day of the incident, which was later handed over to DB for probing.
