Dr Zakaria Swapan’s death anniv today

Today (Tuesday) is the fifth death anniversary of former pro-vice chancellor (education) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and former joint secretary general of Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad (SWACHIP) Prof Dr ASM Zakaria Swapan. 

A Milad Mahfil and Dua (special prayer session) has been arranged at the Central Jame Masjid of the university today after Juhr prayer on the occasion.

The family of Dr Zakaria Swapan have requested well-wishers to attend the prayer.

Besides, Zakaria Swapan Memorial Foundation will organise a Milad Mahfil, distribute winter clothes among poor people and plant tree saplings at Trishal, his birthplace, on February 17.

One of the country's renowned physicians, Dr ASM Zakaria Swapan passed away on February 14, 2018. He is survived by a son and a daughter.
