Holy Ashura and the 1342th death anniversary of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R) will be observed today (Thursday) at the Mia Shaheb's Maidan Khankah Sharif, at Luxmibazar in the old city.
A discussion on the life and activities of the Islami thinkers, milad and doa mahfil, have been organized after Magrib prayers at the khankah sharif.
Besides, discussion will be held on the Holy Ashura and sahidane Karbala on the day.
Akheri munajat and doa mahfil will be conducted by Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Ahamadur Rahim (RA), present gaddinshin Pir of Mia Shaheb's Maidan Khankah Sharif.
The program will begin through recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Haji Dr Mohammed Ishtiaq Sazzadur Rahman, Hafez Md Faruq and Hafez Mohammed Rohmotullah.
Pesh Imam Maulana Jabed Omar Al- Kaderi who is also the Khotib of Shah Saheb's Bari Jame Masjid Hazrat and other Islami scholars will participate in the discussion.
Later, Tabarak will be distributed among the devotees. Convenor of the programme Saiyed Toiyab Morshed Araf has invited all to attend the function, the release added.
