Discussion and prayer mahfil at the Immigration and Passport Department

On the occasion of National Mourning Day and the 45th Martyrdom Anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Department of Immigration and Passports (DIP) organized a discussion meeting and prayer mahfil at the DIP head office in Agargaon on Saturday morning. 

DIP Director General Major General Mohammad Ayub Chowdhury was present as the chief guest on the occasion.

"A nation needs morale to survive," he said. “It needs need an advanced history and an outstanding statesman. These were the qualities of a great hero.He is the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, under whose leadership the country became independent. He had planned how the newly independent country would stand tall in the world court. Bangabandhu was an honest, efficient and far-sighted political leader and administrator in running the country.

Brigadier General Saidur Rahman Khan, project director of the e-Passport and Automatic Border Control Management project said, “No leader like Bangabandhu came to this part of Bengal. Bangabandhu is a leader and a great man about whom it is not possible for us to talk and evaluate. Without him, we would not get anything; not this country, or this flag.”

Additional Director General ATM Abu Asad said, “Bangladesh will become a happy and prosperous country if Bangabandhu's dream of Bangladesh is realized. If we as government servants perform our duties with integrity, we will show due respect to him.

DIP Deputy Director Md Hafizur Rahman was the convener of the programme. DIP Director Md Abdullah Al Mamun, Director Md Saidul 

Islam, Systems Analyst Mohammad Nazrul Islam Bhuiyan and others spoke at the discussion event.

Before observing the mourning day programme, a tree was planted in front of the DIP head office on the occasion of the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman under the leadership of the DIP Director General.
