The first founding anniversary of Dailly Desh Rupantar was observed in Jhenidah. A colourful rally was brought from Jhenidah press club and ended at th starting point on Friday morning. Deputy commissioner Saroj Kumar Nath and superintendent of police Hasanuzzaman led the rally.
Later a discussion meeting was held at the club auditorium with Jhenidah press club president M Raihan in the chair.
The guests inaugurated the day cutting a founding anniversary cake. Deputy commissioner Saroj Kumar Nath, superintendent of police Hasanuzzaman and local correspondent of the daily Rabiul Islam among others spoke.
The speakers urged upon the journalist to discharge their duties with confidence and run investigation during preparing corruption and other irregularities. The writings of the journalist is the one of the most important activities to run the country in truck against odds.
