Every year, in winter season hundreds of buyers from different areas rush to date molasses market at Manirampur upazila in Jashore to purchase date molasses. According to sources, every week Manirampur upazila, Rajganj, Nehalpur and Dhakuria market date molasses market has seen. Molasses vendors have gathered before the market day of aforesaid area.
At Rajganj haat, per vaar of date molasses is selling at the rate of Tk1300 to Tk1500. Vendors are displaying date molasses in a queue for selling in the market. President of Chinatoula Market Committee Nur Ali said before that we use vaar to carry date molasses by pick-up or van. Now, we use plastic drum to carry molasses as there are many dilapidated roads on the way to market.
