Cumilla University (CuU) on Tuesday celebrated its 13th founding anniversary amid festivity and much enthusiasm manner.
Vice Chancellor of the university Prof Dr. EmranKabir Chowdhury inaugurated theday’s program on the campus in the morning. Later, teachers, staffs and students of the university took part in a rally.
A discussion was also held marking the day. Prof Dr. EmranKabir Chowdhury spoke at the event. In his speech, the VC said, “We have taken a mega project for the development of the university's education-research and infrastructures.”
Established on May 28 in 2006, the university already passed an era. It started its journey with the hopes of academic excellence and to enlighten the power of education. Starting its journey with 4 Faculties, 7 Departments, 15 teachers, 300 students, at present, the university consists of 6 Faculties, 19 Departments and 4 residential halls with more than seven thousands students.
