Convicted person gets disaster tolerant house in Nabinagar

The irregularities have been alleged in the list of disaster tolerant houses allotted in the upazila's monthly law and order meeting in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria on Thursday.

 The chairman of the Ratanpur Union Parishad alleged twenty-four houses were allocated for the government's 'Jami Ache Ghar Nei' project in 21 unions in Nabinagar upazila in this fiscal year.

The name of Alam Khan son of late Siddique Khan hailed from Khagatoa village of Ratanpur Union was included in the list of beneficiaries of the allotment.

However, Chairman claimed that Alam Khan is was a businessman, he has land as well as house in that area and familiar as a criminal person.

In the meantime, the claim against Alom Khan becomes true as the correspondent visited the place.

It was found that, he has a big tin shed house of his own. He is a dish line businessman in that area. According to locals, he is convicted for murder case though he is on bail.

In this regard, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Masum said that the allegation of irregularities presented by the chairman at the law and order meeting held on October 30. At present, we are going to take necessary steps after proper investigation.
