Two patrol teams of Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) South Zone under BCG Base Bhola seized a boat full of smuggled clothes in a raid based on secret information on last Monday night. The boat was kept hidden with huge ammount of illegally smuggled clothes including saris, says a press release issued by BCG.
People on board dived into the water and fled after being aware of the presence of Coast Guards. The members of the patrol team found 25 thousand clothes of varies kinds worh almost Tk 4 crores, after searching the boat.
Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue working to ensure law and security and to prevent ctiminal activities in its jurisdictional areas. The seized Clothes and the wooden boat was handed over to Bhola Sadar Police Station.
