Coast Guard rescues 13 fishermen

On Monday night at around 8.30 pm 13 fishermen were rescued alive by the Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) Station in Cox's Bazar from a fishing boat named FB Mamoni in the Bay of Bengal about 10 nautical miles west of Laboni Beach in Cox's Bazar. 

It is learned that the fishing boat took 13 fishermen from Cox's Bazar Ghat No 6 to fish in the sea on Monday morning. At approximately 8:30 am the boat's engine broke down and floated into the sea. At one stage, the boat was floating in the deep sea and the boatmen informed the incident to BCG station Cox's Bazar.

According to reports, the BCG station in Cox's Bazar rushed to the spot and rescued those 13 fishermen along with the fishing boat. The rescued fishermen were also brought to BCG station Cox's Bazar. There they were given food and first aid. Later, the rescued fishermen were handed over to their families and the fishing boat to the owners.
