Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain today urged rich people of the society to join charity works like Dhaka Ahsania Mission, saying the private development organization is working for the wellbeing of poor and destitute since its inception in 1958, reports BSS.
He said these while addressing a function to hand over Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Gold Medal-2018 as the chief guest at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology.
Presided over by Dhaka Ahsania Mission president Kazi Rafiqul Alam, the award ceremony was addressed by former NBR chairman Mohammad Abdul Mazid, Dr SM Khalilur Rahman and Professor Dr Syed Mohammad Shahed, among others.
Educationist and national professor Dr Anisuzzaman was given Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Gold Medal-2018 for his outstanding contribution in education sector and he received a crest and a certificate, among other gifts.
