Chinese Company M/s. Yifa Jute & Sisal Products Co. Ltd. will invest US$ 2 million to establish a jute & sisal products manufacturing industry in Chattogram Export Processing Zone.
This fully foreign owned company will produce annually 1000 tons Rope and 1500 tons Twine from Jute & Sisal. Besides, jute & sisal cloth, Manila & cotton rope and cotton twine will also produce here. M/s Yifa Jute & Sisal Products Co. Limited will create employment opportunity for 101 Bangladeshi nationals.
An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s. Yifa Jute & Sisal Products Co. Ltd. at BEPZA Complex, Dhaka today (21/10/2019). Zillur Rahman ndc, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Mo Jisheng, Chairman of M/s. Yifa Jute & Sisal Products Co. Ltd signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Major General S M Salahuddin Islam, BP, SPP, ndc, psc, Executive Chairman, Mohammad Faruque Alam, Member (Engineering), Mizanur Rahman, Member (Finance), Nazma Binte Alamgir, General Manager (Public Relations) and Md. Tanvir Hossain, General Manager (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA were present at the signing ceremony.
