China, Pakistan ignore Modi’s birthday

Yesterday was the 70th birthday of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On this day, different countries of the world greeted Modi, but neighbouring China and Pakistan did not.

Different countries of the world have congratulated Modi on his birthday including Bangladesh. The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson has called him a "friend".

German Chancellor Angela Merkel congratulated "Dear Narendra" in both German and English. Russian President Vladimir Putin also congratulated. The Prime Minister of Nepal KP Sharma Oli has greeted the Prime Minister of India despite the recent controversy. However, Beijing did not wish the prime minister a happy birthday. Islamabad was also silent.
