The Valentine’s Day was celebrated in Tangail amid various activities on Friday. To make the day memorable, an educational institution named ‘Hatekhari Pre-Primary School’ arranged for their students to wash their mother’s feet with love at SP Park in Tangail town. Naushad Rana Sanvi, Chairman of the institute organised the day to bring a positive change in the attitude of lovers on this day.
Valentine’s Day is not a day for celebrating romantic love only but a day to celebrate love altogether, keeping this view in mind the students of ‘Hatekhari Pre-Primary School’ celebrated the day. More than 150 children expressed their love for their mother by participating in the event. Participating mothers and children were delighted and got emotional at the time.
Advocate Zafar Ahmed, an advisor of the School and president of Tangail Press Club said that it is wonderful to see the children washing their mothers’ feet on the Valentine’s Day.
This is a unique example of children showing respect to their mother's love. To organize such an event is surely a good initiative. Nowshad Rana Sanvi said they believe that we should express our love to our parents first on Valentine’s Day. Therefore, they arranged for such an unusual event to celebrate the day.
