A child-boy, aged about 7 years-old, was found dead at his room at Dakkhin Rariyarpur area of Savar on Thursday. Police detained Moyna Begum, 30, the stepmother of the child, for interrogation.
The deceased was identified as Badsha, 7, son of Md Anwar Hosen of Ghosar area at Shahjadpur in Sirajganj.
Saiful Islam, inspector (investigation) of Savar Model Police Station, said that the father of the child is a fish trader and the stepmother is an RMG worker. Both of them went their workplace leaving the child alone at Thursday morning. Later, the father found the child dead on the bed in their rented room when he came back from the workplace around 3:00 pm for taking meal. On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Later, the body was to hospital morgue for autopsy. Police also detained his stepmother for interrogation.”
Police said that they suspect that miscreants may killed the child.
