Charge sheets submitted in two murder cases Plaintiffs being threatened

Charge sheets have been submitted in two murder cases of Bandar and Fatulla police stations immediately accusing large numbers of men including so called adolescent criminal gang members.

Sharif Madbor,27, was hacked to death in broad daylight in front of his residence by an adolescent criminal gang at Adarsha Nagar village under Fatulla police station on first April this year.

Sharif’s father Alal Madbor on the day of the incident filed a murder case mentioning 11 people and some others with Fatulla police station.

After investigation Inspector Mohammad Shahadat Hossain submitted a charge sheet to the court on June 30 accusing 25 men asking discharge of 3 men.

Accused of the case were immediately granted bails and accused’srelatives are repeatedly threatening the petitioner. In this regard he filed three general diaries with the police for his safety.

In the other murder case of Bandar police station, a river way labour Mahbub was killed in his residence at Ekrampur area on January 30. 

His widow Razia Begum filed a murder case with Bandar police station naming 11 people on February 5 after receiving post mortem report.

In this case Inspector Md. Shafikul Islam submitted charge sheet to the court accusing all 11 on July, 31.

Deceased's elder brother Hafizur Rahman said, the accused are veteran criminals as well as river way extortionists, who have been threatening them to withdraw the case.

He also told, Shobuj Shikdar, one of the accused is the ringleader of river way extortion from Munshiganj to Dhaka's Demra who also has a criminal gang that threatened him.

Among the eleven accused of the case, eight including Shobuj Shikdar surrendered before the court on September, 20. However, Shoboj is on bail till 21 November, court sources confirmed.
