Call for building technology, knowledge-based nation

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Narail Anjuman Ara has called upon the students and others science minded people to come forward for building a technology and knowledge-based nation. The educational institutions should take the responsibility of enriching the students with scientific knowledge, she said.

The Narail DC said these while speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the three-day long ‘Narail District Science and Technology Fair 2019’ held on the premises of Narail Government Boys High School on Sunday noon.

Md. Yarul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-general), chaired the event, while Md. Azim Uddin, Assistant Commissioner (AC Land) of Narail sadar upazila, Md. Zakir Hossain, headmaster of Narail government girls high school, Mohotosh Kumar dey, headmaster of government boys high school, Md. Fazlul Haque, Education Officer of Narail sadar upazila were present on the occasion, among others.

Narail Deputy Commissioner’s Office organised the three-day fair in association with Science and Technology Museum and Science and Technology Ministry to mark the 40th National Science and Technology Week-2019.

Many educational institutions and science clubs took part in the fair showcasing their scientific and ICT innovations through 50 stalls.

Anjuman Ara said that  to build science-minded atmosphere, technology is only the way of progress-should be our main slogan.

Later on, the guests visited the little-scientists stalls.
