A mobile court of Kishoreganj District Administration fined one businessman Tk 1 lakh for hiding the purchase price of goods at Barabazar area under Kishoreganj Sadar Upazila of the district. Executive Magistrate Galib pasha pronounced the verdict on Monday.
The convicts was identified as Bimal Roy (45) of Mothkhola Store in Barabazar area under Kishorganj sadar upazila. Consumer Rights AD Hridoy Ranjan Banik, CAB president Alam Sarowar Titu and others official were also present at that time. Executive Magistrate Ghalib Pasha said, "In order to show receipt of the price of the goods purchased. a fine of Tk 1 lakh has been imposed under Agricultural Marketing Act. The campaign will continue in the public interest.
