Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) observed the Shahid Dibash & International Mother Language Day with due respects and solemnity on the university campus in Gazipur on Friday.
To mark the day, the BSMRAU arranged various programmes, inclduing hoisting of the national flag at half-mast, wearing black badges, rally, offering floral wreath at the University Shaheed Minar and Bangabandhu’s Mural, discussion, special doa at the University central Mosque after Zahr prayer.
Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Dr Md Giashuddin Miah placed the floral wreath at the Shaheed Minar and Bangabandhu’s Mural. At that time Treasurer Prof Tofayel Ahamed, Deans, Directors, Provosts, Proctor, Registrar and faculty members were present.
The discussion was held at the Shaheed Minar premises. Prof Giashuddin Miah was present as chief guest. It was addressed, among others, by treasurer Prof. Tofayel Ahmed with Prof Dr Md Ruhul Amin, Director (Students Affairs) in the the chair.
Students, faculty members, officers and employees were present at that time.
