BRAC Bank organises trainers programme on Women Entrepreneurship

BRAC Bank Limited organised a ‘Train the Trainers Program’ aiming at creating a pool of in-house trainers who can provide training to women entrepreneurs throughout the year across the country.

Renowned US entrepreneurship institute, Babson College, and Dutch investment firm, FMO, have partnered with BRAC Bank to conduct the ‘Train the Trainers Training Program’ for senior officials of BRAC Bank, said a press release. 

Richard T. Bliss, PhD, Babson College, Professor of Finance and National Academic Director – 10,000 Small Businesses and Professor Patricia G. Greene, Academic Director, Babson College, conducted the two-day session on June 30 and July 1, 2019 at the bank’s Head Office in Dhaka.  Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, Deputy Managing Director & CRO; and Syed Abdul Momen, Head of SME Banking, and Bilquis Jahan, Head of Human Resources, BRAC Bank, were present.

The training has enabled the bank to develop resource persons from among its staff to continue the training in the coming days. 

As a values-based organization, BRAC Bank invests significantly on people development through capacity building programs to upskill knowledge and efficiency level. an exclusive international training for Bangladeshi women SME entrepreneurs, which is a first in the country.

As part of the partnership, Babson College and FMO will conduct a four-day training for Bangladeshi women business owners to help them in developing and enriching entrepreneurial and managerial skills for expanding businesses.
