Police have recovered the body of a madrasa student at Muksudpur in Gopalganj. The deceased was identified as Didar Fakir. He is a 6th grade student of Dignagar Fazil Madrasa.
Police at Sindiaghat outpost recovered the body floating from a pond in Dignagar village of the upazila around 7:30 pm on Monday (September 14). Didar Fakir is the son of Nasir Fakir of the same village.
According to police and Didar’s family sources, Didar Fakir went out of the house for fishing on Sunday evening and went missing. After much searching, the locals spotted Didar’s body floating in the pond of Hafiz in Monirkandi village on Monday afternoon and informed the police. Later, the police went to the spot and recovered the body and brought it to the police station.
Abul Basar, in-charge of Sindiaghat outpost in Muksudpur, said the body was recovered and sent to Gopalganj Hospital morgue for autopsy. The cause of death will be known after receiving the autopsy report.
