bKash to receive digital health care from Telenor

Telenor Health, a digital health subsidiary of Telenor Group has recently signed an MoU with bKash, the largest mobile financial service provider of the country recently at bKash’s corporate office in the capital. Andrew Smith, Chief Commercial Officer, Telenor Health and Mizanur Rashid, Chief Commercial Officer, bKash Limited signed the agreement.

Under this agreement, remittance receiving customers of bKash will receive digital healthcare solutions and will now be able to consult with doctors over phone and avail various healthcare associated benefits. Through this collaboration, remittance receiving customers of bKash will be under health coverage of Telenor Health. The health coverage includes Doctor Consultation, Cash Coverage & Hospital Discount.

From bKash, Kamal Quadir, Chief Executive Officer and Ali Ahmmed, Head of Strategy & Business Development, Commercial alongside Sajid Rahman, Chief Executive Officer and Mohammad Mobydur Rahaman, Head of B2B, Partnerships & Loyalty of Telenor Health were present at the occasion.

Sajid Rahman, Chief Executive Officer, Telenor Health on the occasion said, “Remittance has significantly grown since 2005 in Bangladesh and is a crucial part of our economy. Our countrymen work hard day and nightin foreign lands to support their family members back at home, to give them a better life. This generates remittance for our economy. We hope to make the lives of foreign workers easier by not having to worry about the health of their loved ones back at home.”
