Today is the birthday of Ekushey Padak and National Film Award winning actor, director ATM Shamsuzzaman and National Film Award winning actress Popy.
ATM Shamsuzzaman has recovered from a long illness, said his wife Runi Zaman. ATM Shamsuzzaman is spending his time in a secluded environment at his home in Sutrapur.
ATM Shamsuzzaman said, “I have never celebrated a birthday. Last year I was at my daughter’s house in Bashundhara residential area. Last year many of the people from film and drama came to meet me, to greet me. But this year I think that opportunity does not exist because there is a fear in everyone because of Corona. I have to be very careful, I have to be aware. God has kept me well. I don’t have a chance to see anyone even if I want to. May God keep me healthy, everyone in my family.”
Regarding her birthday, Popy said, “I have no special plans for this birthday because of Corona. Many people are dying every day due to corona. A few days ago, many people died due to a gas explosion in a mosque in Narayanganj. All in all, the mood is not good. That’s why I’m not thinking about my birthday. I just want blessings from everyone, may Allah keep me well and keep me healthy.”
ATM Shamsuzzaman said he would not return to the shooting until he was fully recovered and Corona situation returned to normal.
