Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing said that all are celebrating religious festivals with joy. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for being able to celebrate religious festivals in a festive atmosphere across the country. He also thanked the law enforcement officers. Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing said this to the countrymen after offering prayer on the occasion of Durga Puja Vijaya Dasami, the religious big festival of Sanatani community in Bandarban Sadar on Wednesday.
Citing Bangladesh is a country of harmony he said that Religion is for individuals while festivals for all. The minister seeks everyone’s cooperation in making the religious festivals of traditional Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, Christians and other religious festivals successful. The minister urged people from all walks of life to be inspired by the non-communal spirit and united in the work of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to build Sonar Bangla.
