Faruque Hassan apprised the Private Industry and Investment Advisor of the RMG sector’s vision of achieving 100 billion from RMG exports by 2030 while pursuing the growth in a sustainable manner.

During the meeting, BGMEA President Faruque Hassan stressed the need for the policy support of the government for the RMG industry to help the sector to face the challenges in the coming days and materialize the industry’s vision.

He said the industry is laying importance to shifting towards non-cotton textiles and high value-added apparel items to attain the growth vision.

He also urged the government to further improve ease of doing business and reduce time and cost of doing business to attract more investments in the backward linkage textile sector, particularly in man-made fiber based yarns and technical textiles.
